A culturally rich circuit starting from Leh, moving through the historic plains of Kargil, the apricot orchards of Dah Hanu, and the spiritual landmarks of the Sham Valley.

Day 01: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Gentle Exploration

Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to your hotel. The day is kept light for acclimatization to the high altitude. In the evening, you may explore the vibrant Leh Market or enjoy a short, scenic walk to the peaceful Shanti Stupa, offering panoramic views of Leh town. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02: Leh to Kargil – Scenic Drive & War History

After breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Kargil, passing notable landmarks such as Magnetic Hill and the stunning Indus–Zanskar River Confluence. En route, visit the Drass War Memorial, located near Drass—one of the coldest inhabited places in the world—to pay tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Day 03: Kargil to Dah Hanu – Aryan Village Experience

Today, travel to Dah Hanu, a group of remote villages along the Indus River, famous for their Aryan heritage and unique cultural traditions. Explore traditional homes, walk through apricot orchards, and visit ancient Buddhist monasteries. Interact with locals to experience their distinctive lifestyle and customs. Day 04: Dah Hanu to Sham Valley – Rural Ladakh Journey

Drive through the scenic Sham Valley, often referred to as the “Apricot Valley of Ladakh.” En route, stop at small villages and local monasteries, capture photographs of dramatic landscapes, and experience authentic rural Ladakhi life. Overnight stay in Sham Valley or nearby area.

Day 05: Sham Valley to Leh – Monasteries & Heritage Sites

After breakfast, visit some of Ladakh’s most significant cultural landmarks, including the ancient Alchi Monastery, the historic Basgo Palace ruins, and the hilltop Likir Monastery. Continue your drive back to Leh, arriving by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.
