Take a gentle walk around Leh Market, explore local handicraft shops, and enjoy a serene sunset at Shanti Stupa, which offers panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing – Culture & Monasteries

Explore Leh’s rich heritage. Start with Leh Palace, a 17th-century royal residence, then visit Thiksey Monastery, famous for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa and its stunning Buddhist statues. Continue to Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for vibrant festivals. End the day at Hall of Fame Museum, dedicated to the Indo-Pak war history and Himalayan expeditions.

Day 3: Leh to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass

Drive early morning to Pangong Lake, crossing the iconic Chang La Pass (17,688 ft). Stop en route for photographs of the snow-capped peaks and sparkling streams. Arrive at Pangong, the breathtaking high-altitude lake that changes color from azure to deep blue. Evening leisure on the lakeshore, capturing the sunset over the mountains.

Day 4: Pangong Lake to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Head towards Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. En route, witness dramatic landscapes of barren mountains, glacial streams, and valleys. Visit Diskit Monastery and the giant Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Enjoy a camel safari on the sand dunes of Hunder, surrounded by the cold desert, before settling in Nubra Valley.
